Tracee Findlater, author of The Unravelling of Flora Cotton, interviews Ben Tufnell.
Tracee says:
I’m looking forward to talking with Ben Tuffnell about his two novels: The North Shore, a striking, atmospheric work set on the Norfolk coast, and his latest book, Paradise, described as a Kafkaesque eco-thriller.
Both stories are rooted in landscape, but in very different ways, and explore themes of isolation, transformation, and the instability of what we think we know.
What intrigues me is how his writing unsettles familiar ground: how places, people and even identity refuse to stay fixed. I’ll be asking Ben how his stories take shape, how worlds are built, how voice and structure come together, and what connects these novels beneath their different surfaces.
Whether you are new to his work or already familiar with it, I hope you will find this a thoughtful and engaging discussion. It would be great to see you there.
